- Dec 10 King accepts Peace Prize in Oslo
- Dec 11 King delivered Nobel lecture "The Quest for Peace and Justice" in the auditorium of the University of Oslo.
- Dec. 13 King attended festival in Stockholm for the Republic of Kenya
- Dec. 15 FBI wiretap picked up a distress call between Clarence Jones and Stanley Levison, who had heard rumors of prostitutes running through the hotel
- Dec. 17 King arrived from Paris to whirlwind in New York City. Mayor Robert Wagner presented King with New York's Medallion of Honor at City Council Chamber in lower Manhattan. King attended evening reception in his honor at the Waldorf, featuring Vice President Elect Hubert Humphrey. King later attended a night rally in Harlem, organized by Cleveland Robinson. Around 8-10 thousand people attend.
